This class will deal with specialized materrials which are used in special applications and were not yet presented in the bachelor courses. Funxctional materials, used in sensors or actuators, high-strength low-alloy steels for the automotive industry, low weight materials like magnesium, technological ceramics, stainless metallic materials and carbon materials like nano tubes are discussed. In exercises the students will learn more about the applications and fundamentals. |
