Vita
Powder metallurgy (powder synthesis and characterization, Spark Plasma Sintering, Hot Pressing, pressureless sintering), synthesis, characterization & fabrication of ceramic materials, sintering phenomena, nanostructured materials, solid state physics and some closely related fields.
R&D of new metal, ceramic and metal ceramic materials for extreme conditions applications (high dynamic loads, high temperatures (over 1200 ° C, aggressive environments, etc.)). Investigation of physical-chemical processes of ceramics (B4C, B6O-based ceramics), metals (Mo, Ti, Cu alloys) and metal-ceramics (based on reinforced ceramic B4C-TiB2, WC-W2C, LaB6-TiB2) during pressure less sintering, hot pressing, spark plasma sintering, 3D printing, infiltration of powder materials. The microstructure, chemical and phase composition investigation of the obtained materials and their influence on the physical-mechanical and functional properties
